Why 'Tsunoga'?

This is just a regular blog, and is intended to be like one of those "web logs" from twenty-plus years ago. Documenting my daily thoughts (i.e., shitposts), the movies I watch, the books I read, the stuff in the news I obsess about, and some of my photography.

As for what "Tsunoga" is: while I'll flesh this part out a little bit more sometime soon, Tsunoga is the name of the mythical founder of Tsuruga, the place I've been connected to in Japan for at least thirty years now. My wife is from Tsuruga, my oldest son was born there, and it's the one place in Japan where no one finds my Japanese accent unusual, and where I find it easiest to converse with people.
